General
▪ No bird hunting allowed.
▪ Damaging of plant life is prohibited.
▪ No tree stumps, pieces of wood or any other natural phenomena may be removed or displaced.
 ▪ Enough firewood will be provided at the campsite - please do not pick up your own.
▪ Littering will not be tolerated.
No Hunter may begin to hunt until an indemnity form and form outlining a minimum code of standards, ethics and conditions has been signed.
In ALL circumstances, your Guide has the final say.  Should he prevent you from shooting at an animal, this must be strictly adhered to.  Failure to do so can result in the immediate suspension and/or cancellation of the rest of the Hunt.
 
Rifles
▪ Prior to proceeding into the field, rifles need to be sighted at the Shooting Range.
▪ Smallest caliber allowed for Blesbuck, Springbuck and Impala is: .243 - 100gr.
▪ For all other game: .270 - 130g.
 
Hunting Times
▪ No hunting to take place before 07h00 and after 16h00.
▪ Hunting finishes at 16h00 on Saturdays and no hunting is allowed on Sundays.
▪ The only exception to the above is for tracking and killing an already wounded animal.
▪ All wounded animals will be regarded as having been hunted.
▪ No persons under 14 years old will be allowed to hunt.
 
Safety
▪ There are three camps and only one Hunting Party per camp is allowed.  Each Hunting Party must be accompanied by a Hexriver Guide. A Hunting Party not to exceed 5 hunters.
Firearms must at all times be transported without cartridges in the chamber.  When leaving the field all cartridges must be removed from the rifle (including magazine).  Never leave a loaded firearm unattended anywhere. A gun safe is available.
Alcohol and firearms are a lethal combination and the Hexriver Management reserves the right to stop a Hunter from going into the field if under the influence of alcohol.
  
Trophies
There is an additional cost of R 300 per animal for caping.
Slaughtering Facilities
All game is transported from the field to the slaughtering facilities.  The game is slaughtered, skinned and hung in the Cold Room.
Facilities are available should the Hunter want to cut the carcass into smaller, more manageable sections. Meat processing facility available at extra cost.
Please bring your own containers for transporting the meat.
All skins or shoulder mounts must be taken on day of departure.
